LOVE IT!!!

Amazing performance!

During the closing days of WW II when two ships were anchored together, one containing Japanese and the other American soldiers, all waiting to be repatriated. For an entire day they lined the rails, glaring at on another. Suddenly someone began to sing "In Christ There Is No East or West." Then another on the opposite ship joined in. Soon there was an extraordinary choir of former enemies unitedly praising God with these words. HE truly is the Prince Of Peace.

I fondly remember singing this beautiful hymn in Vacation Bible School and fifth and sixth grade, and this arrangement is the best I've ever.heard. Bravo!

My Wife and I have had four commissions with Raymond over the years, including this piece. "If I Can Help Somebody" was our first commission with Raymond. It was written in honor Dr. Jerry Jordan and the Ole Concert Singers and Dr. Eileen Guenther and the Choir of Foundry United Methodist Church, Washington DC. The remaining three pieces, "Gospel Train", "Jesus Loves Me", and "God of the Stars" were commissioned in honor of Mr. James R. Jones and the Choir of Myers Park United Methodist Church in Charlotte, NC. As you might guess, all have been a smashing success. It has been an honor to work with Ray, praising God in music. I came across this video when searching for a hymn for our Catholic mass. I saw the comments attached and sincerely hope the "letting go" of your Choir Director doesn't mean you have abandoned your great choir. It would be a real shame. Please reconsider that this part of their education will hold them high in their lives. Sincerely A.Armstrong

We're doing this song currently in choir. It sounds quite amazing in my opinion with the extra bass parts included. The one thing that i have a problem with is with the start of "ho-di-e" for the basses we have to come in on a very odd beat which usually causes confusion.

Mr. Beery - is this actually you? LOL :) If so that is awesome. And I'm glad you approve. The program is new, and I am slowly trying to build. I really like the arrangement a lot - I hope you don't mind the instrumental rewriting of the piano part. I am trying to give them as many different experiences as I can with instruments. Again - thank you so much for taking the time to post a comment. I truly hope you were pleased. They are still growing and learning - but I was proud of them :)
